The years have passed and I've got nothing to show
I've grown bitter inside, this house just isn't a home
The only comfort I find is out on the open road
Or the evening tide, entranced by what lies below
Have faith in me, maybe someday I will let go
Of the past that haunts me, someday I will be whole
I'll pack my bags, leave behind everything that I know
Never look back, strike a match and watch it go up in smoke
