i wonder if i stop my clock
from going forward... no tick tock
hold my finger above his hand
and leave it there Will i understand
why time dont wait... just plods along
his tick and tocking like a song
slowly forward... round and round
tick and tock the only sound...

i tried to stare him into stopping
it tired my eyes, felt them dropping
usually i'm not one to stare
tick and tocking filled the air...

tick and tock talks to me
his hands moving gracefully
passing where he does each hour
tocking ticking, oh what power...

tick and tock, tick and tock
i'm sick and tired of that bloody clock
i've hit it bashed it,... thrown it on the floor
but still comes back,... with that tick and tock roar...

this is a really cool write. i have a poem on time too...it's called "the chase". anyways, i loved your poem

I got a kick out of this! I'm still laughing... I have a clock in my house that is like that... the one with the alarm.... but instead of going tick and tock it goes "bzz.... time to get up... bzz.... time to get up" or maybe that's my mother???? Hmmm.... :) Thanks for the write!
