But I’m Here

I called but you were
So tired - - so much
In pain and so stressed
That you broke down
In tears but I’m here

You’re alone inside
And you try and cope
Just keep forging on
With no-one to help
You - - but I’m here

You keep taking pills
To cope with the pain
Time and time again
But it doesn’t really
Help - - but I’m here

Kicking and screaming
You bang your head
Against the wall but
No-one can hear you
At all - - but I’m here

You pour out your
Heart to no-one at
All you go round
In circles all lost and
Alone - - but I’m here

If only you knew how
It made me feel you
Might just realise that
You’re not all alone I’d
Tell you - - but I’m here

This is really good it hits me close to home

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. Â©
