today you asked me a question
which I am sure was quite hard
which you were certain
left me quite scarred

i let down my guard
without even knowing it
this just goes to show you
talking to you is not hard

you give me the freedom to say what I choose
making me feel that I have nothing to lose
what incredible freedom that is to feel
with you it has an appeal

so thank you for being there
and loving me so
for letting me share
and showing you care

i love you so much
it grows stronger each day
so please dont ever go away
and please please
do not hold your feelings at bay

share with me when you are ready
i will be there strong and steady
the goals you set for us are great
i am looking forward to setting the date

i am glad we could talk about anything
it makes our relationship grow strong
because you and i both know
together is where we
belong

i like the rhyme scheme
