eternal winter, on it's way
fall's bleeding colors, blowing away
here, alone, is where i'll stay
as another red leaf falls
picking scabs, licking the same old wounds
agony's teeth, gnash and consume
this life, birthed only to feed a tomb
and another red leaf falls
lost in the forest, of forgotten dreams
endless trickle of tears,
filling sorrowful streams
my home is here,
among the damned and their screams
and another red leaf falls
through this darkness, i finally see
the only choice left up to me
the only way i'll ever be free
and my blood leaves start to fall
no longer a prisoner, inside myself
no longer in need, of someone else
i held on so long, but.......there's no one to tell
and one more dead leaf falls
