You want more from me, then you back away,
You come to see me, and then you don’t stay.
You want to be together, but not tied down,
You can laugh for hours, but I catch you in a frown.
You clearly don’t know, what you want or really need,
I hope you don’t keep me this way, so your ego you can feed.
You’re the definition of contradiction, a puzzle without a clue,
I try to be accommodating, but with you, I’m just not sure what to do.
Your feelings are undefined; your signals are mixed,
I’m running far behind you, as if this race is fixed.
Commitment seems to scare you, but you want us to be more,
You take me so far, and then show me the door.
To not know where I stand, or fall,
If you really want to be with me, at all.
Most people wouldn’t want this stigma,
But to me you will forever be, my enigma.
