Off Key
The morning takes dark wing
Into the past
As I suffer silence
To write of the
Mysteries of time and memory
Often the sensitivity of poets
Is a curse, a solitary curse.
The curse that makes the tears
That no one else can see
A curse that makes one sing
With words of beauty and delight
But seemingly always
Off key, alone against the night.

My good friend David always says less is more and this is why. Poignant and beautifully crafted - - thank you for sharing - - Aliopterix |
