Imperfections
The cleft, the dimple
The mole on her cheek
A twitch of her lip
the spots on her body
that cause my eyes to seek
a few extra pounds
a lisp in her speech
the lines on her face
wrinkles that form
my hands out to reach
light caress of her skin
gentle stroke of her hair
reflections of doubt in her eyes
fathoms of depth
faults creating beauy so rare
no airbrush technique
no makeup to cover
her birthmark down low
hint of gray in her hair
the reasons I love her
put the magazines down
disregard televison
embrace the whole you
love you like I do
leave delusion's illusions
