I held you close never wanting to let you go,
You were there through my darkest fears.
Happiness flowing through me with everything you do,
But when your gone I drown in the river of my tears.

The times we had I will cherish forever,
You were there for me when I needed you most.
I thought we'd always be together,
But my feelings were crushed worse then a poorly made roast.

You were everything I always craved,
The person who always made me smile.
I am sorry for the way I behaved,
You always impressed me with your grace and style.

But things changed and you didnt feel the same,
Memories are all that are left of what we've been through.
I take responsability and all the blame,
Stupid me for saying those three little words "I love you."

I like it, don't let anybody or anything make you think that your words are unimportant, the roast was humorous, the rest was subtle and endearing. You have a real talent, continue to scribe, nobody has bought my book of poetry, but it doesn't matter because it is my legacy and your poetry will be part of yours, you are a good writer.
