You’ve asked me to wait, and I want to agree,
But do you understand, how much this means to me?
I’ve waited forever, to have this chance,
And now you want to lead me on this merry dance.

I understand your doubts, and the pain you’ve gone through,
But I can help you to deal, and be there for you.
You owe it to yourself, to give us a try
You won’t regret it, as the years go by.

Friendship is important, but love is special too,
If you listen to your heart, you’ll know what to do.
I hope you reconsider; you shouldn’t do this alone,
Every time you say no, my heart lets out a groan.

I’ve said my piece now, and I hope you’ll debate
Whether to give us a chance or whether to wait.
I don’t mean to pressure you, and if you want I’ll take a bow,
I just hope you’ll decide, for us, what about now?
