Over The Edge

We stand on this precipice, the future below,
The past is behind us, engulfed in a fiery glow.
So take my hand, and step to the ledge,
Join me as we take our love, over the edge.
We fall endlessly, our hands entwined,
Our troubles forgotten, left far behind.
We pass through clouds and rainbows so bright,
The sun shines through the shadows, spreading its light.
We fall gently to earth, the ground soft and warm,
We look up to the cliff edge, above it rages the storm.
We’ve left it all behind, to make a fresh start,
Together we will mend the other’s heart.
The future stretches before our feet,
The cliff face is un-climbable, there is no retreat.
We walk together, and make a solemn pledge,
To never make the other, step over the edge.
