I see you there... you lay so still
my eyes... they cannot leave...
and as i watch... life slip away...
i remind myself to breathe...
I take a breath... and then you turn...
and look into my eyes...
a smile breaks across your face...
pain hidden in disguise...
The strength within... that fragile smile...
can be felt across the world...
and I will never leave your side...
my beautiful... brave girl.
