Everyone laughed when you said that you liked me,
Your popular and I’m not, how could this be?
But you’re bigger than that, and I couldn’t be prouder,
Even if you set everyone off, like lighting gun powder.
Why can’t people leave us be? We’re happy together,
Our love is strong, our destiny is ours, forever.
They try to split us up, to fight what we share,
What gives them the right, it’s just not fair.
You fight all the odds, the mockery and mirth,
To be with me, you’ve shown your true worth.
I’ll stand with you now, until time does end,
I only hope, that you stay strong, your will does not bend.
We’ll fight together, to keep the doubters off our back,
To not let them hurt us, to knock us off track.
There’s nothing they can say, no insult ever hurled,
That would break us up, because it’s us vs. the world.

The world has no business in medlin' with the magic of friendship, partnership 'n' the faith in forever so that possibility steps up 'n' strikes the naysayers. Sounds like resolve to me. Nice write.
