I will never forget you

Contributed by JackGoodman on Sunday, 18th December 2011 @ 10:47:33 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

My head lies on my pillow in the dark, damp room,
Wishing if I could only see your beautiful face once again,
So you can make my heart go further than a steady pace and my fascinated eyes zoom.
I attempt to close my weeping eyes and deeply sleep but your beautiful face haunts my dreams making me feeling torn apart and crushed at the seams.

As I sleep I toss and turn; I am restless and I definitely know that I shall not sleep,
I know that I endlessly think of you and that my love for you is forever knee deep.
“Do you ever still think of me?”
I sit and wonder whilst I stare at the wall aimlessly with tears soaking my eyes and wanted everyone just to leave me be.

It seems the clock deliberately ticks so lazily and yet our love just went so quick.
I sit up smoothly but slowly; I tightly grip my sheets with my cold bare hands and watch the seconds pass whilst the silence fills my abandoned heart.
I most definitely know she learned that I am fragile but she will never know that I am so torn apart.
An unsteady tear slides down my pale, ghostly face and crashes onto my wet sheets,
Whilst I’m wishing you would love me back and not leaving my heart alone, slowing down the beats.
Lastly I will never forget about that one memorable thing that I will forever miss, which is the special moment,
Where we both had our very first kiss.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
