Stumblin’ on the rotted row
Sidewalk daisies as we go
We follow our little-kid dreams
We blow the flower’s hair
It’s not at all what it seems
Our dreams lead us nowhere
Kissin’ crumblin’ pavement lips
Dreamy gazin’ summer sips
In the make-believe ever town
Never Wonderin’ why we’re here
Never guessin’ momma’s frown
Always missin’ daddy’s leer
*****in’ time and drinkin’ sun,
The world stops when we run,
Pickin daisies as we go,
This is the world as we know,
We’re just kids, let us glow,
Down we stumble rotted row,
Pick in daisies, pickin daisies,
Pickin daisies as we go.
