I'm looking at your picture
And talking to you now.
I know that you can't hear me,
But I wish you could somehow.
I see a smile across your face.
I smile in turn and feel your grace.
I see your body that I love.
The one that I so love to hug.
I see your eyes so blue and clear.
The ones that to me are most dear.
I see your lips so full and sweet.
The ones that my lips long to meet.
And overall the beauty
Of the picture, as I gaze,
Appears to grow in splendor,
In my heart it found it's place.
That picture is now a painting.
It hangs on my mantle proud!
The centerpiece of my existence,
As you’ve been and still are now!
