It all seems like a bad dream
The puzzle pieces never seem to fit
Turning them each and every way
But that is life
A beautiful struggle
A chapter closed, and a new one to began
they all say...
How can you began a new chapter when the last was unfinished
To move forward blindly is such a sight
With walls crumbling down , each clay fragment turning to glass
just before it hits the ground reflecting the lost soul
to always look out with nothing left to look in
The pain will always remain
For farther time can never grow to old
the memories will mutate and conceal the X on the map
For no one will ever find the treasure
A map so easily seen, but so hard to follow
Each step brings you closer and closer
with each twig breaking beneath your feet the nerves become
comfortably numb
You climb mountains of emotions
And trails that lead to the words that burn heavily with
embers of gray
The X is everything...
With one last step, predestination calls
Despair lights the grey embers with wayward logos
as your eyes look upon the the garden
that was ounce nourished and lavished along the mountain side
the buzz's of life fall forever deaf
The green stained with red of tears that dripped from long ago wounds
snakes slither through the photocopied carcass's of a child
stamped across the garden with the odor of a mild death
The wind picks up with every step
the dirt devils whistle around with hounds of a child's cry
bending down gently as you began to open the chest
A silent cry is heard
