I am not very politically minded,
Though I have been so in the past.
I was a politician’s campaign manager,
Thank the Lord that was over quite fast!
I don’t even know who to vote for these days,
So I asked God to send me a sign.
I learned then my dog was the smartest alive,
I am so grateful this genius is mine!
I asked him one day to bring me a pen,
But he brought me a pencil instead!
The sign he pee’d on made me stop and think,
I’m way too poor to afford any ink!
It’s not that my dog is smarter than me,
It is because he has more instinct and sense.
I asked him to crawl in a teepee with me.
What he dragged out were two puppy tents!
