"Unrequited love"
From deep in his soul, to the ends of his heart, Her whispered touch made the darkness part.
He clung to that hope, with all of his might,
To see her again made the world seem so right.
He thought of her often, not once did he forget, The strength that she carried or how they had met.
She soared like an angel with gossamer wings, she always amazed him with the love she could bring.
Although he'd never touched her, felt her sweet kiss,
she belonged to another, to respect it was her wish.
As long as she's happy, as long as she's loved, that's all that mattered to the man I spoke of.
