Soft thin gray clouds above the peaks
Of majestic mountains, where snow lays deep.
A light blue lake ripples by this scene,
A shimmering silver causing shoreline sheen.
The mountain’s purple, gray, blue and black,
White frosting lays atop their stacks.
The green of pines reflecting in the lake
Along with clouds and mountainous shapes.
I see an Eagle, soaring above these peaks.
He holds a salmon tightly in his beak.
His talons now are opened wide,
As he grabs the nest to feed his pride.
If not enough to take your breath away,
In nature’s beauty, making you want to stay,
Then the artist’s spirit lives not in you.
For His name is God, and He painted us too!
