TIME PEACE!

The clock on the wall
Keeps on ticking away.
It seems to be saying
“Today’s not the day!”
But how can it know
When Peace cometh for me,
Even though I can’t hear,
And my eye’s just don’t see?
I watched it all day.
The hands kept moving around.
It seems to be advising
I’ll be soon homeward bound!
We knew from the start
That it never could be,
In a moment of anger
Time moved against me!
That’s all behind now,
Time is where it belongs.
As for me and clock watching,
I now sing a new song!
I’ll never be lonely
As I thought I would be.
For that clock on the wall
Brought me Peace, now I’m Free!

I love poems about clocks and time especially when they're well written and flow nicely - bravo! Nice read Rob
