My Christmas Wish

Contributed by dvtpdw on Sunday, 11th December 2011 @ 01:29:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

It's Christmas time once again
It's time to find the perfect gift
I don't know where to begin
I want it to give your life a lift

Everywhere I look and search
I find the same old things
Maybe I should look above the earth
For the gift that will give you wings

I want to show how much I love you
I want to show how proud you make me
You make my life so rich with all you do
Watching you grow into the man you will be

I offer this prayer to God, and ask
Please, fill his life with love and joy
Let him in Your Love always bask
This beautiful, wonderful little boy

Let all the worries and losses of the past
Wash away as we celebrate this awesome day
Love, hope and joy enough to always last
No matter what anyone has to say

God Bless and carry you on his shoulder
May your path always be straight and clear
With enough strength to move each boulder
Move forward with love, never any fear

Merry Christmas, my incredible grandson
May all your dreams and wishes come true
May every battle be fought and won
I will be by your side and forever love you

Oh the prayers of a Godly Grandmother!
They have kept many young men's feet from
dipping into the fire! He is truly blessed
because of you as I am by my own "Gram!"
Blessings,
Rob
