Sunmelt to the Sea

A lazy orange evening orb
meets salty, clear, waters
splashing into a multicolored horizon
as a light mist visits from the Gulf.
I lie entwined on the gritty beach
upon my bronze sand princess.
A faint fragrance of coconut escapes
the oils that cellophane her body.
Passing remnants of a root beer barrel
between our searching lips
we smile through passionate eyes
aware of our Siamese hearts.
Waves belly up the beach
and tease our naked feet
Glitters of sunlight dance on
the tear drop rain pearls that
hold tightly to our flesh
Occasional calls of flirting seagulls
Interrupt the oceans' applause
while we synchronize breath
and bodies in the sand.
The sun takes one last peek
blushing before
slipping into dusk allowing
the sunmelt to the sea.
