To the one I love

Contributed by Ellewood on Saturday, 10th December 2011 @ 07:57:14 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

This one is for you
to my heart you are true
your sweet words touch me so
I hope and pray you never go

We are a couple
you and me
together we will rise
and fight our enemy

Love goes both ways
we are there for each other
even on our crummiest of days

I know at times it is hard for you
to show your emotions and open your heart
but you have it in you
what a good start

I reveal too much at times
you do not say it but I believe it to be so
you simply smile and go with the flow
and this is why I love you

You do not say it
but I know I put pressure on
it was never my intention
and for that I do feel bad
I do not ever want to make you mad

I will not be lost in fantasy
although often it is a better place to be
but I would rather be in reality
where it is you and me

I love you so much
but you know this
and I anxiously await for your next kiss
for it gives me total bliss

So for now I am happy with what I could get
and am thankful every day
you are my dream come true
and this these are the reasons
why I LOVE YOU
