Forbidden Skin

Topic: ChristianPoetry

I am a lion who feasts on nameless women
Ignoring the cosmic laws that have been written
I want to believe that I am passive in this action
In this behavior that causes me to lose traction
But in reality I am in the drivers seat
Devouring women like they are a pieces of meat

I don't want to know your name
I don't care if our beliefs are the same
I want you body without a price
After all you are only a sexual device

I hear them play that song
My heart and soul sing a long
"Someone make me afraid of what I have become"
For my sins have cost a great sum

I wish I could slay the beast within
Destroy my lust for forbidden skin
Many battles with this beast I have fought
But in the end it is all for not
I do not posses the necessary qualities to win
Can anything save me from this sin?

I hear that God makes old things new
My body yearns for this to be true
Can He heal all of my hurt?
Can he resurrect the dirtiest of dirt?

God can fix anything but only if you truly want it fixed. Nice poem. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed the depth of truth in this verse, good work.
