He carried His cross,
Then was nailed to that tree.
His blood for world sins,
Flowed for you and for me.
The wisdom of men,
With their fearful trite minds,
Saw not Heaven’s great plan,
From the beginning of time.
When evil enjoys
It’s scant victory,
It shall only surrender,
Meeting eternity!
If you are the Lord’s child,
When bad happens to you,
He will turn it to good,
As He promised He’d do!
We can’t see the future,
Or each coming new test.
But He’s right at our sides,
And He knows what’s for best.
What hope is there for us,
In this world, not our home?
Well, He died on a tree,
But now Lives on God’s Throne,
Becoming our Lighthouse,
Till the day we reach home!
