When We Met

When we met I kind of passed you
without a second look.
Next day I e-mailed Amazon
dot com to get your book.
You wore a hi-tone ego
the way some wear a hat.
Removing it just now and then
when we happened to chat.
Funny how I thought that I
might be the queen of rhyme.
Then meeting you all that changed
thoughts turning on a dime.
Now my sight is leaving me
it seems that you are too.
I can't enjoy your poetry
and don't know what to do.
I never see you any more
or view the things you write.
Just as well, I'm thinking
since I don't have much sight.
If you get around much
and hear my humble plea ...
Remember how I love romance
please put some on CD.

i couldn agree more, i know poetry most times is written based on the current feelings/emotions, i've written a few dark, happy ones & who knows my mood ones lol
regardless of the mood, its a good poem |
