There was a bear living in the woods,
All alone I heard some say.
And he would look up in the sky
To pray for friends with which to play.
He was a very lonely bear,
Who would often shed some tears.
His heart was always aching,
As it had for many years.
His mama and his papa bear
Met with hunters along the way.
Other men took his only brother,
Who left the wilds inside a cage.
His parents called him Baby Bear.
So that name was all he knew.
He lived inside a hollow tree cave,
Where he grew and grew and grew!
A little “big” boy, the name of Lucas,
One day was walking in the woods.
His kitty cat he had named Pity,
Had run away from his neighborhood.
Lucas spied that Baby Bear
Peeking out from his tree cave.
And then he saw his kitty nearby
In the grasp of a very large snake.
Lucas screamed now for his mommy!
But was surprised by the Baby Bear,
Who had his paws around the snake
So Pity, got away and ran from there!
Lucas now loved that Baby Bear,
And took him home with him to stay.
Now God had answered two boys prayers.
Both now had a brother with which to play!

This is seriously awesome! This should be required reading for elementary school aged children. I loved it.
Maybe a little morbid with the cage thing? Other than that, perfect.
