How many are we going to kill before we realise.

Contributed by Damian on Tuesday, 6th December 2011 @ 01:29:57 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I was only 10
I was hunted by two men
My dad and his brother
Not even protected by my own mother

My name is jack
Tell me what I lack
Im just like you
Except im hit till im black and blue

My name is Louise
Tell me why they tease
I never did do a thing
Now I stand by an angel’s wing

My name is Jake
Im not fake
They never stopped the torment till the last day
I took a one way adventure to far, far away

I am but 11
Now I lay to rest in heaven
God was the only way
I didn’t care about the cost to pay

My brother is only one, brand new
That doesn’t protect him, his still got a few
The keep bruising till he does break
What they did no one should have to take

Was I born to have this fate?
What made them need to have this hate?
What they did was horrendous to take
I cried whenever I was awake

They all lay in heaven,
Along with my niece
Cannot we just control our hate?
Because they are different you can’t be their mate

Another young hero to fall
You have no idea what he had to endure
Smooth sailing all your life
You’re not the one whose mother got knifed

I was there with mother, it was rape
No one did stop it, no hero in his cape
We are a proper family in heaven now
The way it happened makes many ask, how?

Young Johnny was on his way to go far
Now his joined the heavens, his a true star
They took all he had, along with his future
The needles of pain struck in in a harsh acupuncture

They took me by the neck and tore at my face
They kept going, at a hurting pace
All because im gay
They made me pay

There was a boy I once knew
I saw him going down the aisle from the church pew
I could’ve have saved him but I turned away
Now his body is returned to the clay

Why must the world be so hateful?
Everyone has the right to live, just be grateful
*****in’ hell, don’t you have standards you live by
You are going to hell after this life that’s a lie

A mother’s tears fall
A daughter no longer answers the call
You don’t just hurt one person when you kick someone down
You split another of the tall proud crown

Such a sad, but true, comment on the ways of the world now. Your pain and hurt comes through so strong, and your words give light to this hateful darkness. Great write, and may God Bless you. Thank you for sharing this.

this is a nice write to let the window open on abuse and its many forms. We all know about it, but can use a reminder now and then ... thanks.
