Reflections on Power

I glide into submission... no force necessary other than relinquished power,
through sincerity I gain back my freedom... with just a touch of self preservation,
No boat comes to take me from this isle of remorse... though regretfully I do long for it,
Every bone and sinew in my body aches for past glory and yet I must submit,
for a boat steered without a rudder is no boat at all... but a shipwreck.

I enjoy the depth of this piece. There is a lot to latch onto here. The lines have a darkness about them that is gripping and mysterious. A stimulating piece of writing. Great job
