Tender Loving Care

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My heart has been broken
many times, I know it is alot
I used to know what love feels like
but my heart is broken all the time and I forgot
when will everything change
will the heart ache never end
I want to feel love
right now I just need a friend
teach me to love
show me how to care
help me to trust
and know somebody is always there
I don't want any pain
please just take it away
it has been here to long
I don't need it to stay
I stay inside and dont go out
heartache lurks behind my door
I know it is there
and I don't want it anymore
It just sits on my doorstep
it is waiting for me
well I'm not coming out
so heartache just let me be
I'm not your friend
i dont want you to be mine
leave me alone
take up somebody elses time
what i need is love
i need to know somebody cares
all i want is acceptance
and this lonely one to become a pair
until that time comes
i guess ill just wait for you to go away
because tomarrow
will bring me another day
eventually you will get tired
of wasting the time that you've lost
by waiting for me to come out and play
but that is what you get your time is the cost
it guess it is good that you stay
you're not destroying any more lives
but i think you broke enough of this lonely heart
and stabbed me too many times with your forbidden knives
so here i sit behind my door
im waiting for you to go away
as i wait my heart tries to heal
and when you leave i will come out that day

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
