BID ME RISE!

As for me I’d be humbled and honored,
To bow at your feet or lay prone.
For nothing‘s too big or to small dear.
Where you are is then where I’m at home.
Bid me rise in my armor and face you.
In my arms won’t you kiss me at last.
Then farewell as I march into battle.
Till next kiss many days will have passed.
I return to the cheers of the people.
There are flowers and coins in the street.
But my eyes are sore searching for one soul,
And the thrill in my heart when we meet.
Now there in my path stands my princess.
Her feet leave the ground as she flies.
I don’t feel now like much of a warrior,
For we both hit the dirt on our sides.
Don't worry, only she got hurt.
I was wearing heavy armor,
Wasn’t I?
