Suicide is my name.

Contributed by cryingonmyporch on Friday, 2nd May 2003 @ 08:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Hi Mom, hi Dad, I know I know it's called suicide.
I'm surprised you noticed at all.
These scars, most of them, are more than two years old.
Remember I spent more than two weeks in the hospital,
It wasn't a cracked wrist, it was slit.
This surely was not my first attempt.
I've done razors, pills, and once or twice almost your gun.
My Brother walked in and told me to call ya'll.
I promise it more than likely won't be my last.
I've cried and whined and prayd for your help, for some type of guidance.
No one responded not even a farewell notice.
I try to talk to ya'll, ya'll say that is what went wrong.
How can it be my fault, I do not neglect any of you.
I clean, I cook, and I know I don't always dress pretty.
But I always listen, I give every one of you advice.
I give you hug, instead of kicking you to the ground.
I pick you up, instead of trampling all over you.
I love you and care, instead of shrugging and walking off.
Hi Mom, hi Dad! My name should have been SUICIDE.
