Winter Pledge
The long cold finger of winter doth linger,
My suspiration a keen anticipation
Of seeing you, my angel, in the morning dew.
What say you my love beneath God up above,
May we stay together no matter whatever
Crosses the threshold of our contentment?
I beg you answer favourably to this
For it would add to the bliss
Of knowing you and harbouring your feelings.
An innermost knot twists around my spine
As I wonder whether or not you’ll be mine
O sweet ecstasy of hesitancy be gone.
Pledge your troth to me, set yourself free
And amidst this troubled world, beside me
We will champion life itself and conquer all.
