LoveRemembered

From a sun soaked mountain, to a frozen pass
Together we sat, to watch, what the seasons cast
Back in the day, that era, when we were young
We used to listen to everything, but our mothers tongues
You had these plans, that you called your future
When you thought you soared, when I thought I tumored
As annually you ate apples off of the tree of knowledge
I acted like I was too smart to waste my time with collage
And everyday I studied your face as if it were a midterm or paper
Like I needed every note because I would be tested on you later
Constants stick to meaning while moments take to fleeing away
And the feeling may be fleeting but I can’t stop teething on yesterday
So as the season’s change
And the planet twists and turns
No matter the paths we take
Or the lanes we merge
If you ever feel for me
Even one ounce of concern
When you finally see
All this time you were looking for me
In my place I will be, the place where I became we
