DUCK!

I used to drive a school bus,
Driving children home from school.
I’d laugh and sing along with them.
They thought I was “way cool.”
While driving highway 19,
Adjacent to a lake,
On a hot and humid Florida day,
Windows opened was a big mistake.
While joking with the children,
I felt a sudden “Whack.”
A duck flew in my window,
Sticking to my neck and back.
I heard the children screaming,
As my face was filled with blood.
I had to somehow stop the bus,
As trickling blood became a flood.
My doctor did extract the duck,
And handed me the bill.
I handed it right back to him,
And asked for more pain pills!
I’ve told this story many times.
No one has believed me yet.
But I swear it really happened.
Those thirty students will never forget.
Moral Of The Story: If you see a bird
flying straight for your head, “DUCK!”
Then, don’t be a quack. Send IT the bill!
