Voices in my Head

Contributed by bobotheclown on Friday, 2nd May 2003 @ 07:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I'm lying on the floor
Can't deal with this anymore
Tearing at my hair
It comes out in clumps
I don't even feel it
The emotional pain is just to intense

Trying to drink it all away
Chase away my tears and fears,
But it doesn't help
The world is so empty
And its sucked me dry
I'm sorry, I got nothing left

Giving in, to the voices in my head
Telling me to give up,
And how I'll never get out of here
Pulled under, waving goodbye
With my false smile
The spirits are winning, I give up!

The voices call me over
I'm not fully aware
Staggering, I crawl to them
Broken, in a drugged stupor
They whisper me things,
Things that make me cry

The emptiness breaks my will
I'm losing control, in free fall
The voices establish themselves
They know their victorious
I can't hold on anymore
The emotional pain is just to intense
Its ripping me apart
The voices in my head
I guess they won...
