Look at me and what do you see,
A girl of 14 as lonely as can be,
No brains to be had, not cleaver nor smart,
With no special gives or talants for the arts,
She's not very pretty with hair never straight,
Big teath and small eyes and a generally ugly face,
But you can't get her down her sprit is strong,
And no matter what you say she will always prove you wrong,
So look at me and tell me what you see,
You see a girl and that girl is me.

I see someone's "Daddy's Little Girl"
The apple of someone's eye, who is so
loved and beautiful inside as well as on
the outside the world would have had
to create you had you never been born.
However, I don't know of a single 14 year
old girl who hasn't uttered the exact same
words you have here many times over!
Blessings,
Robert Edgar Burns

Captures a specific stage in your life - the pain and insecurities of growing up. I can relate to it, even now - at 38! Thank you for sharing. x |
