Her Fathers abuse was physical,
Her mothers abuse was mental,
Both parents were unstable,
She will forgive, but never forget,
Tears continue to fall as she has wept.
Her heart is huge her heart is pure,
Is she a orphan? She is rather unsure.
Time passed with hope of change.
When hope simply caused more pain.
Why does she seek their love and affection?
She sees their faces in her own reflection.
Her expectation of a parents love is unconditional,
For she was a gift from God, a miracle.
She will no longer live her life in pain,
Without any judgement without shame,
She now knows that her parents are to blame.
After saying goodbye to her worst enemy,
She will work each day to fulfill her own destiny.

I think that I'm doing this right? I'm new here! Anyway, love your poem - very sad, but well expressed. |
