JAKES END

Topic: DarkPoetry

I am not worthy of your praise,
I’ll let you down most every day.
There’s only sadness in the heart,
Of this lonely man whose ripped apart.

I must lay down my pen and pad.
I can’t see through the tears I’ve shed.
I am not worthy of your praise,
When The one I love ignores for days.

So it must mean that I’m no good.
No worth, no value is understood.
I’ve never been her priority.
Like she has always been to me.

We make big plans and I prepare.
And ready all for her with care.
But then she never ever shows,
And doesn’t call, or let me know.

Just why she is this way you see,
I’ll never know, as her words aren’t free.
Excuses are her cup of tea,
But patience has run out with me.

And so you see I am not worth,
A second look, I ‘m the scum of the Earth.
At least I know that in her eyes,
I’ll always be last so why should I try?

I’ve given up, I’ll write no more.
This is my last verse that’s for sure.
I do not care what lies ahead.
There’s lots worse things than being dead!
