Poetry Of A Landscape.

Contributed by cashfan1 on Friday, 2nd December 2011 @ 03:26:21 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Come with me to the foothills of the Beacons
Where the wind howls the devil's lament
And the trees gather like gossiping fishwives,
Ancient fingers wagging at the mountain's
As they stumble through the clouds.
Hear the sound of water, pure unadulterated freedom,
As it tumbles down the hillside,
Rising and falling in a swirl of lathery white
Splitting the landscape with a force as natural
As the first cries of the newborn child.
Hear too the pulsing beat of the Kite's wings
As she sails unfettered across the vista of wild sky.
Now, come if you will, and sit with me on the porch
And watch the moon, unshackled at last, dance with the stars
Across the ballroom of the night.
Follow me to the fire's warm embrace and together
Let us recite the poetry of this landscape.

Beautifully painted picture. I can
almost feel the cooling breeze
and taste the cool water of the
slithering stream.
Blessings,

Tell you what, I'll let you recite the poetry of the landscape because I am no match for the way you do it. This is awesome. I love the way you tie everything together. We are all one with the earth and you have a true talent of stating that.

Excellent!

Thank you,

Tim

I really like this write! I see the land as you tell the story, and feel the surroundings as the poem flows along. Thank you.

Wow. I would like to see this place but somehow I fear I could not appreciate it or at least could not vocalize my appreciation in such a lovely way as you've been able to. Great work. You sir...are a wordsmith. Please keep writing... need more. truly , Doug
