Slithering, hissing, rattling
In the dark, damp, empowering
Wind whistles and tears the air
Bringing chills that raise up hairs
Fear creeping up ankles and crawling
Flashlight failing dread encompassing
Night in woods with evils abound
Howls and whines of distant hounds
Crackles of leaves beneath your feet
Only thoughts form of retreat
With moon providing only light
To guide us through our darkest plight
