Nobody knew him but he knew them all
Time was cruel, he was too young to fall
Circumstances beyond his control
Despite the hardship, a happy soul
Not to be forgotten, he'd shout out loud
His own celebration drew such a huge crowd
Watched with love through every breath
Like many of the greats, immortalized by death
Tears fell as he was carried away
We'll meet for a beer and a chat one day
