THE BUG!

I often hear from ladies,
Who have read what I
Have to say.
Most of them say “Such a lucky girl
You write for everyday!”
But my brother tells my “Lucky wife”
“Thanks for putting up with my crap!”
Then she agrees and gleefully
Pats herself right on her back.

If I had any inspiration, It is gone now
Just like that.
So don’t expect more to be coming,
I am finished and that’s where I’m at!
I wasn’t always a poet, But I have been for
Fifty years.
My abandoning this Avocation, will bring
To no one a single tear!

So here’s to all the women,
Who’ve only met me here in verse.
Thanks for your dedications
It makes my pain seem a little less worse.
If I see you in the pages of a printed book
Of rhyme, then slam the covers
Of the book you hold, For the fly landing
There Am I!

I can sense applause all over
For from many I have never heard.
When I send writes to so many
Who offer up not a single word!
For me now I see with open eyes
Many wish that I’d just quit!
Your prayers have now been answered,
For the answer this is it!

This write is just a joke with a dark twist!
