Where Our Love Rules
Slipping into my realm of contemplation
The only sound that of suspiration
My memories of you swirl around
And I lay down upon the ground
Allowing you to join my consciousness.
Forever we are separated by time
But in my place of verse and rhyme
The times we spent renewed once more
Placed on paper from my store
Of shared times we had together
A dance, a walk a secret tryst, a kiss
All is ecstasy and nothing here amiss
I look into your eyes so clear
Wipe away my solitary tear
Your reflection in the precious droplet.
In this my place of wants and dreams
You’re always here or so it seems
For you are integral to my existence
And therefore why my keen persistence
Holds your memory alive within me.
At last the time comes for me to go
But in my heart of hearts I know
That even if the real world is without you
I will return once more and renew
Our love here where only we can rule.
