Do You Believe

Contributed by The_Phantom on Sunday, 4th August 2002 @ 07:07:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

As time goes by, love grows cold,
That's something we all regret as we grow old,
We all dwell on the past,
Wondering why we couldn't make it last,

We all walk that lonesome road,
Never knowing what the future may hold,
Watching our lives pass before our eyes,
Acting before we think, that's why love dies,

Making mistakes by not listening with the heart,
Just sitting there watching someone world fall apart,
Showing no emotion, seeming not to care,
Never realizing what was, is no longer there,

Just like roses need water to grow,
Our hearts die of thirst, when there's no love to show,
We tell ourself this can't happen to me,
Until we are slapped in the face with reality,

So go ahead and close your eyes,
Go ahead pretend you can't see,
When it hits you, you'll know what I mean,
Being loved is what we need, now do you believe?

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
