WISHING ON A STAR!

I LOOKED UP TOWARD HEAVEN TONIGHT.
THE CLOUDS HAD PARTED.
THE STARS SHONE BRIGHT.
AND WHEN I SAW THIS BEAUTY NEW,
I COULD NOT HELP BUT THINK OF YOU!

AND THEN I WHISPERED
YOUR NAME QUITE LOW,
WHILE WISHING ON STARLIGHT GLOW.
I WISHED YOU IN MY ARMS TODAY,
HOPING YOU WOULD ALWAYS STAY.

A SHOOTING STAR FLEW BY MY WAY
AND SIZZLED AS IT HIT THE BAY.
IN MOONLIGHTS GLOW IT WAS A SIGHT,
JUST LIKE YOUR EYES ON ANY NIGHT!

BUT I KNOW THIS IS A FABLED DREAM.
I WILL WISH IT STILL UNTIL I’VE SEEN,
THAT MIRACLES REALLY DO COME TRUE,
WHERE YOU COME TO ME, AND I TO YOU!
