A whisper goes out of the mouths of those oppressed.
A gathering of a few like minded commence.
The silent voice starts to gather its strength.
Whispers become voices, voices become chants.
People start to assemble.
All with open hearts together to face the fear.
Seeking change that was whispered within the ear.
Parks and squares are filled as soapboxes litter the ground.
Those who sat silent for so long have broken their vows.
Unity and equality now shouted from every tip of the earth.
The people are awakening and seeing the beauty and worth.
Slaves in the cafe dropping lattes, running for a better world.
Flags of freedom raised and unfurled.
Governments sending out a military brigade.
Breaking the bones of protesters but the spirit will never cave.
Fear was a weapon, now love taken its place.
Hands raised and locked, billions of people stand together strangers no more.
The bell rings from up high, humanity has kicked out the kings.
United we cheer as profit is laid to waste.
Rebuilding nature to give her back her grace.
