You took me whole and made me feel
I showed you light and helped you deal
You gave both hands and trusted me
I guided you, to make us 'we'
You told me things, your cloudy feelings
I let my guard down, whilst you were healing
You lead me on, but didn't mean to
As I was falling, you pushed me on cue
Far apart from where you were
Just as I'd sorted your life and despair
Oh what great timing, I feel so used
But I know you didn't mean to abuse
My mind and soul, as you left me cold
It could have worked out, we could have grown old
If you weren't so scared and did not change
From feeling insane to rational sane
Still don't know, will never understand
Why just why you won't hold my hand
Or touch me as you once wanted to
Did I know anything or who were you?
I stressed you greatly, through words so true
I saw you as lying, how convenient for you
You changed your mind, I couldn't carry on
As much as I miss you, I rely upon
The smallest part left in my rational self
As much as it hurts, must leave for my health
Never willI meet anyone like you
You missed your chance, but I'll always love you

| I feel all the words coming from this poem. I deal with heartbreak too. Everyday waking up to a understanding of who I am, and what my life consists of. If this poem relates to you..I hope you can not only accept your hurt..but embrace it. And make yourself anew |
