Where’d they get posies
In the ring around Rosie’s?
And why were there ashes there?
And how about the cupboards
Of old Mother Hubbard?
Did she ever hear of Welfare?
And why would a boy stick in a thumb,
When he could have used a spoon?
Had I been there to see that square,
I’d have sent him to his room.
Where on Earth did a duckling have birth,
Just to then become a swan?
It’s like Peter Pan being born as a man,
And spending all day with that Tinker,
Who liked rough play and teasing all day,
As he rang his bell, that stinker.
What then is Fee,
And Fo- Fum, Answer Me?
I really do want to know it.
I really don’t understand,
Planting beans in the sand,
And that stalk why would they grow it?
And what about the teapot,
Who talked about his spout?
Then back stabbed his handle,
What could that be about?
And then there was that Wonderland,
And that lost girl we’ll call Alice?
She looked into a looking glass,
And woke up in some palace.
And why would anybody
Rock a baby in a tree?
Don’t they know they
Are supposed to wait
Until the child turns three?
These are things
I need to know.
If you can’t tell me,
Then you can just blow!
